Grambo, 2 Florals--Yellow ROSES & Blue Forget Me Nots w/GREEN LEAVES & GOLD Trim,<br>circa 1939-1964<br>DESCRIPTION:<br>A. Grambo was a talented artist that painted a fetching sprays of flowers--yellow roses & blue forget me nots--with green leaves hanging from the green stems.  The subtle washes of sienna and blue really make the flowers pop out.  The gold trim on the plates' rim adds to the character of the plates as does the stick scrollwork that separates the blue wash on the rim of the plates from the white interior of the plates.<br>CONDITION:<br>While this set of 2 plates is classified as used, its condition is excellent.  We find no defects or damage.  There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches, crazing or hairlines.  There is no wear to the gold on the rims.<br>DIMENSIONS:<br>This smooth rim decorative plates are 8" in diameter and have a height of 13/16".<br>HISTORY/MARKS:<br>The Hutschenreuther porcelain story began when Karl Magnus Hutschenreuther, 1793-1845, discovered kaolin in northeastern Bavaria in 1814 where he established his company.  His son Lorenz managed the Hohenberg porcelain factory from 1845-1857.  He founded his own Hutschenreuther Porcelain Company in Selb in 1856 which  became highly successful and 113 years later absorbed his father’s company.  All of the Hutschenreuther Companies were trend setters of high quality porcelain.  Hutschenreuther became known for the love of detail, distinctive brilliance of color, and lustrous beauty shown through the decorating of the fine porcelain pieces.  The mark on this set is that of the Hutschenreuther Company of Selb, Bavaria Germany.  The website porzellansammlung.de cites this mark as used 1939-1964.<br>As collectors ourselves, we tend to be very picky and find it necessary to point out anything we see.  We believe you will be very intrigued with this decorative hand painted set of 2 plates.<br>Please view all pictures carefully as they are part of the description.
